Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 15, 2025

At Insight Nerve, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our blockchain data analysis and monitoring services. We're committed to transparency and giving you control over your data.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you sign up for our services or contact us, we collect information you choose to share. This typically includes your name, email address, company name, and phone number. If you're setting up an account for blockchain monitoring, we'll also need details about the wallets or contracts you want to track.

Technical Information We Gather Automatically

Our systems automatically collect certain technical data when you use our platform. This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you interact with our service. We use this information to keep our platform secure and to understand how people use our tools.

Blockchain Data You Analyze

When you use our platform to analyze blockchain transactions, we store the queries you run and the data sets you create. This helps us provide you with historical access to your analysis and improve our monitoring algorithms. However, we don't have access to your private keys or the ability to move funds from any wallets you're monitoring.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for specific, practical purposes:

  • To provide and maintain your blockchain monitoring and analysis services
  • To send you alerts and notifications about blockchain activity you're tracking
  • To improve our platform based on how you and others use our tools
  • To communicate with you about service updates, security issues, or technical support
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent activity or security threats
  • To comply with legal obligations under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act and other applicable regulations

We don't sell your personal information to third parties. Period. Our business model is based on providing valuable blockchain analysis tools, not on monetizing your data.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers located in Taiwan and protected by industry-standard encryption. We use a combination of technical and organizational measures to keep your information safe.

Security Measures Include:

  • End-to-end encryption for data transmission
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • Access controls limiting who can view your data internally
  • Automated backup systems with encrypted storage
  • Multi-factor authentication options for your account

That said, no system is completely immune to security breaches. We do everything reasonable to protect your data, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If we detect a data breach that affects your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required by Taiwan's data protection laws.

Sharing Your Information

We share your information in limited circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with third-party companies that help us run our platform - things like cloud hosting, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers only get access to the information they need to do their job, and they're required to protect your data and use it only for the specific services they provide to us.

Legal Requirements

Sometimes we're legally required to share information with government authorities or law enforcement. This happens if we receive a valid legal request, such as a court order or subpoena. We'll always review these requests carefully and only share what's legally required.

Business Transfers

If Insight Nerve is acquired by or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify you before this happens and explain any changes to how your data will be handled.

Your Rights and Choices

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, you have several rights regarding your personal information:

Access and Correction: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct any inaccuracies. Just send us an email, and we'll provide this within 30 days.

Data Deletion: You can ask us to delete your personal information. We'll comply unless we have a legitimate reason to keep it, such as completing a transaction you've requested or complying with legal obligations.

Data Portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used format that you can transfer to another service provider.

Objection and Restriction: You can object to how we process your data or ask us to restrict certain processing activities.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the bottom of this policy. We'll respond to your request within 30 days and won't charge you a fee unless your request is particularly complex or you make repeated requests.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as you have an active account with us. If you close your account, we'll delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, unless we need to keep it longer for legal or regulatory reasons.

Some information, like transaction logs and security records, we're required to keep for seven years under Taiwan financial regulations. This data is stored securely and access is strictly limited.

Blockchain analysis data you've created may be retained longer if it's been anonymized and aggregated, as this helps us improve our algorithms and provide better service to all users.

International Data Transfers

Our primary servers are located in Taiwan, but some of our service providers operate globally. When we transfer your data outside Taiwan, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or ensuring the receiving country has adequate data protection laws.

If you're accessing our services from outside Taiwan, your information will be transferred to and processed in Taiwan where our main operations are based.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our platform running smoothly and to understand how people use our services. Some cookies are essential - without them, you couldn't log in or use basic features. Others help us analyze traffic patterns and improve our interface.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies might affect your ability to use some features of our platform. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or sell your browsing data to advertisers.

Taiwan-Specific Notice: This privacy policy complies with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, you can contact Taiwan's National Development Council or file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

Changes to This Policy

We update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our platform. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when the current version was published.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically, especially before you provide us with new types of personal information.

Children's Privacy

Our services aren't designed for or directed at individuals under 18 years old. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover we've inadvertently collected information from someone under 18, we'll delete it promptly.
